These beautifully carved panels were carved from local teak trees by local tribal people. They were symbols of their favourite deity hung on the walls of tribal village huts in Andhra Pradesh. They would have been cherished and interacted with on a daily basis - this piece has had 'luxurious' tinsel added as decoration. Occasionally, traces of the original paint remain. They look great hung on a wall as a group.
