With Mia, German designer Ilja Huber has developed a sofa system that embodies the perfect fusion of soft seating comfort and classic design.
The versatile appearance of the sofa is characterised by flexibly positionable back and armrests, which are reminiscent of large-format cushions that catch the seated person. Mia is characterised by its modular conception, which allows the sofa to be adapted in size and shape to individual wishes and environments.
Besides its unparalleled levels of comfort, it is Mia’s adaptability which makes it so special. Designer Ilja Huber has developed 11 modules which can be flexibly combined. Characterised by adjustable backs and armrests reminiscent of large-sized cushions, Mia’s versatile appearance and modular concept allow it to be configured, sized, and customised to suit any number of spaces and tastes.
In developing the Mia collection, the main challenge was to design the sofa to enable the broad range of potential upholstery Freifrau offers: a curated leather collection as well as 14 fabric options ranging from classic single-colour textiles to boucle, thick corduroy and experimental upholstery.
